    Do you have trouble understanding what the Financial Statements are showing? Do you know why are the figures reported in this way? Are you able to communicate with your Accounting and Finance colleague on the financial matters?

    This 2-day course is designed for managers and executives with little or no knowledge of accounting and finance. Its aim is to introduce the accounting concepts and help participants make sense of financial statements in a simple way.

    This will be an interactive programme, requiring active involvement of participants in the various learning activities. It will cover the basics of accounting and the importance of financial statements. Besides being able to read financial statements, participants will be introduced to financial analysis, cash flow management, budgeting and investment decision making such as payout period, Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Returns.

    Who should attend
    This course is intended for senior executives, newly promoted managers and non-financial managers who are interested to understand, interpret and evaluate financial statements and other finance related documents to future proof their career.
    Methodology
    This course is conducted uses simple explanations and illustrations from real life examples to help participants understand and relate to their own working experiences. Several financial statements of listed companies will be used to put into practise what was learnt in the course. Some quizzes and games will be used to make the learning fun and interesting.
    Celine Tan's Profile
    Celine Tan has been delivering courses in Accounting, Costing and Budgeting since 2010.

    She has obtained the Advanced Certificate for Training and Assessment (ACTA) from Institute for Adult Learning. She holds a professional degree from The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (ACCA) and a Master in Business Administration (Distinction) by University of Strathclyde School of Business (Scotland).

    Celine is a Chartered Accountant Singapore (CA Singapore) from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ISCA). She was also a Fellow of ACCA.

    She has worked in several senior positions in public listed companies and MNC in the field of financial and management accounting for over 30 years, spanning across the industries of auditing, transportation, healthcare, shipping and trading.
    Celine’s passion in training coupled with her wide spectrum of working experiences have enhanced her ability to deliver her courses in a simple and relatable way to the participants. To help participants understand complex concepts, she always uses real-life examples and analogies to explain in simple ways. Celine draws great satisfaction in imparting her knowledge to the participants.
