    In a world overflowing with data, the ability to transform complex information into visuals that speak is a game-changer. Yet, many professionals still struggle to design infographics that are both insightful and visually cohesive.

    This immersive 1-day workshop empowers participants to build striking, data-driven visuals using PowerPoint and AI tools — without needing advanced design experience. Through guided activities, learners will explore how to simplify complexity, use AI for faster design iteration, and combine structure with creativity to produce polished, brand-aligned visuals that engage audiences and clarify messages.

    By the end of the session, participants will have the confidence and know-how to turn data into persuasive stories — using design not just to inform, but to inspire action.

    Pre-requisites
    • Participants should bring a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop with Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 365) installed and ensure that they have internet and email access during the workshop for AI-tool integration. Participants should also bring a charger and a mouse for precise design control. Note that this is a laptop-only workshop — not optimized for tablets or smartphones.
    Objective
    By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
    1. Interpret the role of infographics in simplifying complex information and enhancing audience understanding.

    2. Differentiate between effective and ineffective infographic designs through visual analysis and critique.

    3. Select appropriate infographic formats based on data type, purpose, and audience.

    4. Leverage AI tools to automate wireframing, layout generation, and design refinement.

    5. Construct infographic wireframes guided by AI-generated outputs for structure and storytelling clarity.

    6. Design infographics using SmartArt, web-based templates, and CanvaMagic to translate data into engaging visuals.

    7. Apply key design principles such as contrast, hierarchy, balance to build professional, brand-consistent layouts.

    8. Integrate visuals, icons, and AI-generated assets to support narrative flow and tone.

    9. Synthesize multiple infographic types into cohesive dashboard-style visuals for presentations and reports.

    10. Refine and export infographics for professional, multi-platform distribution

    Module 1: Understanding Infographics and Their Impact
    • Explore what makes infographics effective and when to use them for maximum clarity.
    • Analyze design traits of amateur vs. professional infographics.
    • Identify common infographic types and when to apply them.

    Module 2: Automating Design with AI
    • Generate wireframes and layout concepts using AI tools.

    • Apply AI-based formatting to emphasize key insights efficiently.

    Module 3: Creating Infographics with SmartArt, Templates & CanvaMagic
    • Using SmartArt for quick data visualization in PowerPoint.
    • Using Web-based Templates for adaptable infographic structures.
    • Using CanvaMagic to enhance creativity and design variety.
    • Combine AI and manual editing to refine compositions and ensure brand alignment.

    Module 4: Creating Custom Infographic Layouts in PowerPoint
    • Build clean, engaging, brand-consistent infographics using PowerPoint’s native tools.
    • Customize SmartArt, icons, and charts for data storytelling.
    • Adapt templates and visual elements for organizational branding.

    Module 5: Enhancing Infographics with Graphics and Branding
    • Source and integrate icons, images, and AI-generated assets.
    • Apply corporate branding (colors, fonts, logos) consistently across designs.
    • Maintain visual integrity while incorporating AI-generated visuals

    Module 6: Applying UI/UX Principles to Create Infographic Dashboards
    • Combine multiple infographics into cohesive visual dashboards.
    • Design layouts adaptable for slides, PDFs, and social media.
    • Ensure user-centric flow for readability and retention.

    Module 7: Finalizing and Refining Your Infographic
    • Evaluate clarity, consistency, and visual impact.
    • Apply finishing refinements and export visuals for distribution.
    • Prepare files for cross-platform use (PowerPoint, PDF, web).
