    From Ghibli-style illustrations to toy-box avatars, AI visuals are redefining how professionals tell stories and engage audiences. Yet, turning these creative tools into purposeful, brand-aligned assets requires more than curiosity — it demands focused prompting, ethical awareness, and design precision.

    This immersive 1-day workshop equips participants to generate and refine AI-driven media using Canva’s intelligent tools. Through guided activities, learners will craft visuals that balance creativity with credibility, mastering prompt techniques, ethical AI use, and brand consistency.

    By the end of the session, participants will gain the confidence to turn automation into artistry — creating professional, responsible, and visually compelling content for any platform.

    Pre-requisites
    • Participants should bring a laptop with internet access, a mouse and a charger. Participants are also recommended to create a free Canva account prior to the workshop. No prior design experience is necessary, but basic computer literacy is required.
    Objective
    By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

    • Leverage Canva’s AI tools (Magic Media, DreamLab, Magic Write) to create visuals and videos aligned with brand and ethical standards.

    • Evaluate AI-generated content for appropriateness, originality, and safety compliance, identifying biases and data-use considerations.

    • Refine AI-produced images using filters, effects, and background adjustments to enhance visual quality.

    • Apply text and layout automation tools to streamline workflow and improve output efficiency.

    • Customize and export media for multiple platforms (social media, reports, presentations), optimizing for engagement and accessibility.

    Module 1: Introduction to AI-Powered Media in Canva
    • Identify the capabilities of Canva’s AI tools.
    • Explain how AI generates images, videos, and formatted text for different purposes.
    • Examine data-privacy, copyright, and misinformation risks when using AI-generated content.
    • Reflect on best practices for verifying authenticity and attribution of AI outputs.

    Module 2: Generating AI-Powered Images & Videos
    • Use Canva Magic Media and DreamLab to create AI-driven visuals.
    • Modify AI-generated outputs through color, composition, and effects adjustments.
    • Compare AI prompts and analyze how phrasing affects generated results.

    Module 3: Refining & Enhancing AI-Generated Media
    • Apply Canva’s Background Remover, Filters, and Adjust tools for quality enhancement.
    • Combine AI-generated and human-curated elements to balance creativity with control.
    • Conduct peer reviews to evaluate clarity, composition, and message impact.

    Module 4: Formatting & Exporting AI-Enhanced Media
    • Customize AI-assisted visuals for social media, reports, and presentations.
    • Export assets for different resolutions and file types while ensuring accessibility compliance.
