Most professionals can communicate ideas through slides — but when it comes to illustrating processes, clarity often gets lost in clutter. Static flowcharts and text-heavy diagrams no longer capture attention or drive understanding.
This 1-day hands-on workshop equips participants to visualize processes more intelligently using PowerPoint enhanced with AI-driven tools. Learners will master how to plan, design, and refine dynamic process visuals — from simple flowcharts to smart, automated workflows that integrate logic, hierarchy, and storytelling.
Through guided exercises, participants will explore how AI can help generate flow structures, suggest design improvements, and format layouts automatically. By the end of the workshop, they will be able to create process visuals that not only explain but persuade — transforming abstract workflows into visuals that inform, align, and inspire action.

Pre-requisites
- Participants should bring a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop with Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 365) installed and ensure that they have internet and email access during the workshop for AI-tool integration. Participants should also bring a charger and a mouse for precise design control. Note that this is a laptop-only workshop — not optimized for tablets or smartphones.
Objective
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between process maps, flowcharts, and workflow diagrams, and identify when to use each.
- Recognize the visual language of process design — including standard symbols, connectors, and directional logic.
- Leverage PowerPoint’s built-in tools and AI features to generate, align, and format process visuals efficiently.
- Apply AI-assisted layout and design frameworks to enhance clarity and visual hierarchy.
- Construct flowcharts from scratch using shapes, connectors, and color systems to improve readability.
- Transform text-heavy process descriptions into visual workflows using PowerPoint’s Design Ideas and Copilot features.
- Refine visual structure and typography for maximum legibility and professional polish.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot common design mistakes to ensure logical accuracy and audience comprehension.
