Do you engage in office politics?

8 out of 10 people I ask quickly say they’d rather avoid it or remain neutral. On the surface, that
feels safe. But here’s the paradox: the moment you declare yourself “neutral” or that you’re “avoiding
politics,” you’ve already given up your voice.

And if your intention is to influence, inspire, or lead—your voice is the very last thing you can afford
to lose. So what do we do then? Must influence mean taking sides and playing power games? Not at
    all.

Navigating office politics with ease isn’t about gossip, manipulation, or favouritism. It’s about
    awareness and choice.
    • It’s learning to read relationships as clearly as you read business data.
    • It’s understanding who holds influence and how decisions are really made.
    • And most importantly, it’s positioning yourself with clarity and integrity—so that you can contribute, not just comply.

The leaders who thrive aren’t the ones who avoid politics, but the ones who elevate it.
    • They turn politics into a platform for connection, collaboration, and change.
    • They don’t shy away, but they also don’t play dirty.
    • Instead, they practice presence, build alliances, and navigate differences with diplomacy and courage.

So the real question is not “Do you play office politics?” but:

“How do you navigate it—so that your presence has weight, your ideas have reach, and your voice is never lost?”
