Excel is the go-to tool for business data, but most users only scratch the surface of its potential. This hands-on workshop helps participants move beyond basic functions into practical analysis and reporting with formulas, lookups, PivotTables, and dashboards. With AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot as productivity partners, participants will also learn how to troubleshoot, summarize, and generate insights more effectively. By the end, they will be able to turn raw data into clear, actionable business reports that support smarter decisions.

    Introduction

Excel has long been the world’s most trusted tool for business data — yet most professionals only scratch the surface of its potential. Too often, Excel is used only for arithmetic or simple tables, while its powerful features for analysis and reporting remain untapped. At the same time, AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot are reshaping the way people interact with data. These assistants can help generate formulas, troubleshoot errors, and draft insights, turning Excel into a gateway for smarter, faster decision-making.

This workshop is designed for professionals who know the basics of Excel but want to move towards confident and effective use in business contexts. By combining essential Excel functions with AI as a productivity partner, participants will learn how to clean, analyse, and present data in ways that improve efficiency and support better decisions. The program is practical and hands-on, progressing step by step from foundational functions to reporting and dashboards, culminating in an end-to-end capstone project.
